Удалить Mintupdate (MATE 13).

Как правильно удалить Mintupdate и какие пакеты вместо него поставить? Gnome-update и еще что?

Видимо нельзя - я пробовал, удалял mintupdate и ставил update-manager udate-notifier, но не работает, либо хочет обновлять до убунту precise, либо падает. Ну и хрен с ним.

А можно настроить минтапдейт чтобы в трее не висел постоянно значок - "Система в актуальном состоянии"?

Нет. Но я же хотел или гномовский традиционный или вот значок убрать, не все, а только "актуальность". Мне нравилось как гном2 оповещал - только при наличии обновлений.

А минтапдейт я полностью выпиливал и не должно от него ничего в автозагрузке оставаться.
Я так понял, что для МАТЕ просто нет гном-апдейта, или может от третьего и успокоился, а потом посмотрел внимательно на настройки минтапдейт и обнаружил перечисление значков, но без возможности из гуя отключать. Может какой конфиг есть?
